Visa Instruction Sheet

• No visa required up to 30 days.

• An application for a visa must be presented at least one month before the intended date of travel.

• Submit your valid, signed U.S. Passport, must have at least 6 months remaining. WVT can assist with obtaining U.S. Passports, whether new issue, renewal, or obtaining additional visa pages for a valid passport.

• A business letter of responsibility is required, stating the nature of the business to be performed the name of the business reference to be visited, guarantee sufficient financial support for the visit, and guarantee return transportation to the USA.

• The business letter should be signed by a company officer other than the applicant. Typed on your company letterhead and addressed to:

Embassy of Sri Lanka
Visa Section, Washington, DC.

• A letter from the sponsoring agency in Sri Lanka.

• Business visa requests may require approval from the relevant authorities in Sri Lanka. Therefore adequate time should be provided to obtain the necessary clearance.

Visa Information

• The Sri Lanka business visa is usually issued for multiple entry within up to 5 years provided the passport remains valid, for a period of stay not exceeding 30 days each entry.
• Passport must have at least six months remaining validity and contain at least one blank visa page for visa to be issued.
